A Project which has given
ADP a huge profile in Mid-Ulster and beyond was their responce to a
former railway depot at James Street, Omagh. In the design of the Omagh
Boys and Girls Club, John McBride's Intention was to create a building
which the local youth would indentifly and respect. Just outside the
confines of the towns conservation area, the practice took the opportunity
to create a really modern building which not only creates a focal point
but has become a talking point for the youth of the town: it is their
building. The main entrance to the buidling leads into a foyer which operates as the circulation core of the building. From it there is access to all the major activity spaces. |

| More importantly the foyer is a meeting place incorporating a free standing stone facade from the original station building which once stood on the site. The Statiion Centre is bold in concept and bold in colour. A single story playgroup, social areas and foyer accommodation is ranged around the main component which is a 9m high sports hall, giving it a tiered effect. | ||||||
